Throat Culture is Hopkins BEST and only sketch comedy group. We write and perform our own sketches roughly three times a semester. Some of the shows will include sketches we've been working on all semester while others are written, rehearsed, and performed all within 24 hours. We also produce video sketches. You may have heard of one of them, the academy award winning film Out of Africa...if that joke is too old for you then replace that with Star Wars. That's right. I understand if you don't think that was a comedy sketch. It was because the jokes were meant to appeal to a wider audience: The Old Republic and The Galactic Empire.
Anyways, I am getting sidetracked. If you enjoy acting or writing and you want to have a relaxed time while making some friends then come and try out for Throat Culture. Fall Auditions are 1 to 4 PM on Saturday, Sept. 15th & 5 to 9 PM on Sunday, Sept. 16th.
