Kranti is the South Asian fusion A Cappella group of Johns Hopkins University.
The group was formed in 2003 by then-freshmen Hari Prabhakhar and Sameer Punyani, who wanted Indian representation in the popular a cappella music scene at the Johns Hopkins University. The group originally had 18 members. Eventually, members graduated,
and Kranti maintained an average of ten to fifteen members per year. In Hindi, the word "Kranti" means "Revolution".
Our annual showcase, "Humari Awaaz", takes place in the spring, and features collegiate a cappella groups from across the country
